Cher Murphy

Cher Murphy is an anthropologist, a reticulist, and executive coach. She advises leaders on building rich authentic relationships and making profound impactful changes as the quickening pace of change continues.

As an advisor to executive teams and boards, Cher works at the intersection of individuals and organizations. She has spent the last 20+ years advising teams in scaling portfolio companies for Venture Capital firms and Private Equity firms and driving transformations at Fortune 100 and FTSE 100 organizations.

Having consulted for Nike, Amazon, McKinsey & Company, Ford Motor Company, Wells Fargo, Patagonia, McDonald’s and Microsoft, Cher has partnered with large global organizations reaching an inflection point. Working with Haven, WeWork, Chewy.com, and Opendoor while focused on scaling, Cher helped their leadership develop the capability to foster new forms of value creation.

Cher earned her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Houston. She completed her Master of Science, Organizational Development at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University where she is an Adjunct Professor for the MBA program. She is a member of Marshall Goldsmith’s 100 Coaches. Cher is an Advisor for Transform, the people driven thought leadership ecosystem driving the conversations and innovations for the new world of work, and an Advisor for Sempervirens Venture Capital. Cher is a member of the Board of Directors for AID International, a nonprofit that focuses on partnering with Haitian communities to become self- sustainable amidst continued chaos. A committed yoga practitioner, Cher has been studying yoga and meditation for over 33 years.
