Classroom Mentor

We are seeking mentors who are interested in giving presentations in the classroom setting (usually 30-45 minutes). We serve elementary through high school in traditional and home school settings. Please indicate how many times per school year (September through June) you would like to mentor. We generally place mentors in schools one time per month (as few as one and as many as 8 times per school year). Mentors are welcome to participate in multiple schools and settings.

Mentoring a Maker Group

We are seeking individuals who would like to start a Maker Group in their community (in garages, basements, local recreation center, parks, etc.). We are able to provide mentorship to the leaders of Maker Groups on a variety of topics via skype or zoom. We will also provide guidance throughout.

Online Mentor

The Mentor Project provides opportunities for answering “Ask a Mentor” questions. We will send you questions based on your area of expertise, and you can decide if you would like to answer the question. You may provide. Your answer in video or written format. Questions and answers will be posted on the website.
The Mentor project is developing a library of online video presentations (making, coding, engineering, science, art, etc.). We are looking for mentors who can provide short videos from one minute to 10 minutes in length.
The Mentor Project is also developing a library of podcasts on current and past innovators on STEAM topics. How-to podcasts are welcome, but videos are preferred. We are looking for individuals who are interested in creating, nominating, or being interviewed for podcasts.
We also welcome nominations of individuals you think would make a good candidate to share their story of what they do, how they got started, or an achievement.
